Yamen Saadi performs Salut d’Amour at the Pierre Boulez Saal (Barenboim-Said Akademie) with Nathalia Milstein on the piano. Composer Sir Edward Elgar wrote this piece in 1888 as an engagement present for his fiancée Caroline Alice Roberts.

Yamen Saadi
Yamen Saadi was born in Nazareth in 1997. Yamen started to study the violin at the Barenboim-Said Conservatory in Nazareth, and after that he began to study under the guidance of the renowned Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra Concertmaster, Chaim Taub. Yamen joined the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Barenboim, at the age of 11 in 2008); in 2015, he served as concertmaster of the orchestra. He has played in different festivals and halls around the world such as Carnegie Hall, KKL, Berlin Philharmoniker, Festspielhaus Salzburg and recorded the entire Beethoven symphonies cycle for Decca.
