In today’s time it’s hard to imagine that Bach’s Sonatas for Violin were largely ignored for over 150 years. This was until celebrated violinist Joseph Joachim started performing them in the late 19th century. Today it’s returning Young Classicals artist Sumina Studer performing Presto from the now world famous Sonata no. 1 at the incredible Bode Museum.

Piece: Sonata no. 1, Presto
Composer: Johann Sebastian Bach
Location: Bode Museum
Violin: Sumina Studer
