In the Summer of 2016 we met Oliwia Meiser in a small town in Italy to record the 6th Boccherini sonata together with Italian cellist Camillo Cabassi. This Summer we met her again but this time in Berlin where she is studying now. Around midnight on Museum Island we recorded this Capriccio no. 3 by Piatti.

Oliwia Meiser
Cellist born in 1998 – Oliwia Meiser – has started her musical journey at the age of seven in the Frederic Chopin High School of Music in Bytom, Poland. Ever since the start of her education, playing the cello has been one of her greatest passions. The young cellists succeeds both in Poland and on international stade, acquiring numerous prizes and honorable mentions. Among her most recent accomplishments are: the Golden Finalist title at the 8th International Music Competition and Festival for Soloists and Chamber Groups SVIREL – Slovenia, the 1st prize (2nd not awarded) at the 23dr Polish Cello Confrontations by the name of Zdzisława Wojciechowska in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and also the 1st prize at the 11th. International Cello Competition Antonio Janigro, Croatia. Oliwia was also rewarded with the second prize in the Polish Cello Competition by the Polish Centre of Education and with the Honorable Mention and a Laureate Title at the 10.
