Maarten Lingier
Born in Houtalen Belgium. He received his first piano lessons from his mother at the age of six. He took further lessons in the Academy of music in Beringen with prof. Heidi Minten and privately with prof. Anne Camps. Since he was also interested in jazz music, he started to take jazz piano lessons in the Academy of Genk with prof. Alano Gruarin. In 2011, he started his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. In 2015, he entered Brussels Conservatorium as a master student and is currently studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played some of his own pieces in concerts. In 2017, he graduated with high score. His arrangement and orchestration were played by Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, he arranged pieces and played with Marie Nicole Lemieux (Elizabeth competition 1st prize) and Filip Jordans in front of Belgian King and Queen in Canada. He is regularly pianist in B-classic festival and he also correpetiter of Munt production.
