READ THIS BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO

THANKS!

Thank you for considering sending us your work 😎

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS

Carefully follow the instructions listed on this page for your work to be considered for publication. If selected, it might still take a few weeks or months before your video is actually posted. It is your video, so in the meantime you can definitely post the video yourself as well.

*We will not read submissions that are sent to our social media channels*

IT HAS TO SOUND GOOD

Use microphones to make a good recording of your performance. Videos that are recorded with the microphone from the camera itself will not be considered. Our Recording course will be released early 2021.

MAKE IT LOOK GOOD

It's important that you pay as much attention to how your video looks as to how it sounds and how you perform. Find a beautiful location, clean and dress the set, use a good camera, and find a good angle that looks professional. Our Filming course will be released early 2021.

PERFORMANCE VIDEOS

We are mostly looking for single shot performance videos. This means you film your performance using just one camera angle without any editing. Feel free to send us other types of videos as well (i.e. music videos or video items related to classical music).

NO SHEET MUSIC

No sheet music! Only the accompanist can use sheet music.

DISABLE TITLES

You probably added titles to your video to credit musician(s), the piece, composer and location.

But please disable these titles when you send the video to us, because we will use our design elements when posting it.

NO PROMOTIONS

At least for the moment we do not directly promote concerts, festivals, competitions, etc. on our channels.

TAGGING

Your video will go into our database and from there we'll make a selection. If at some point we decide to publish your video, we will properly credit and tag you in the post.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Send your video in high quality H.264 to submissions@youngclassicals.com using WeTransfer. You can use WeTransfer's free version for this.  Follow our Editing course for more information on how to export your video properly.

On our Instagram we also post paintings and drawings that have to do with classical music. (We do not post memes.)
