Hazar Birkan

Hazar Birkan was born in 1994 in Ankara,Turkey. She began her music education when she was five years old by taking piano and music theory lessons. In 2004 she was accepted to Bilkent University- Faculty of Music and Performing Arts with full scholarship and started her flute education with Stiliana Stavreva. She actively participated in masterclasses with Maurice Steger,Andras Adorjan, Maxence Larrieu,Gülşen Tatu, Emmanuel Pahud, James Galway, Davide Formisano, Peter Lukas Graf, Jean Michel Tanguy , P.Edmund Davies, Emily Beynon, Carlos Bruneel, Gaby Pas-van Riet, Robert Aitken, Carlo Jans and Kazutaka Shimizu. Hazar Birkan graduated from highschool of Bilkent University – Faculty of Music and Performing Arts with a degree of Best Student of the school.
